Telstra has released its own series of data-sharing plans less than 24-hours after similar plans were released by key rival Optus.
The new EasyShare plans, aimed at small businesses, will pool data allowances across a small businessโ mobile accounts.
The new plans include an extra 25 gigabytes of extra domestic data, plus unlimited standard voice calls, SMS and MMS to Australian numbers.
Some versions of the plan also give employees an additional data SIM, allowing them to share their data between their smartphone and a tablet.
As SmartCompany reported yesterday, Optusโ plans allow customers to share their mobile planโs data allowance across up to five devices.
In Telstraโs official statement, the telco doesnโt acknowledge the rival plans from Optus.
Instead, group managing director of Telstra Business, Will Irving, says the new plans โwere developed in response to talking to customers about how Telstra could best enable small business to make the most of the tablet computing revolutionโ.
