Telstra is rolling out a number of changes across its business broadband plans, which will be automatically applied to the accounts of its existing customers.
Under the changes, customers on Telstraโs BizEssentials Basic plan will see their data allowance increase by 50 GB per month to 100 GB, BizEssentials Everyday by 50 GB to 300 GB, and BizEssentials Max by 500 GB to 1000 GB per month.
For businesses that go over their limit, the excess usage charge will also be dropped from $10 per gigabyte ($0.01 per megabyte) to $1 per gigabyte ($0.001 per megabyte), capped at $300 per month.
The other significant change is where the carrier previously limited to 10 fixed and mobile numbers businesses could nominate for free calls. Under the changes, businesses will be able to call all eligible fixed and mobile services while in Australia listed on the same account for free.
โThis is the start of a significant journey of change with new product price points in market, and it isnโt an offer just for new customers; weโll be migrating existing eligible businesses on these plans in coming months so that they can make the most of the extra data too,โ Telstra Business group managing director Will Irving said in a statement.
While the changes at this stage affect its fixed line carriers, Telstra is planning to make changes to other business services in coming months.
