South Korean consumer electronics giant LG is set to debut three new tablets at a European trade show later this week.
The three new devices, dubbed the G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1, will be unveiled during the MedPI 2014 event in Monaco, which runs from May 13-16.
The new devices, designed with a 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1 inch screen, will run Googleโs Android operating system with LGโs proprietary user interface features including Knock Code.
The company says additional information about the new products, including local release dates, will be announced over the coming weeks.
Full technical specifications for the tablets are also yet to be announced by the company.
LG Electronics Mobile Communications chief executive Jong-seok Park says the expanded product line is a response to consumer demand for more screen sizes.
โUnlike smartphones, tablets are not one size fits all. So we designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritize portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible. G Pad delivers on all counts,โ Park says.
The new devices will be sold alongside LGโs existing G Pad 8.3 tablet, as well as the 5.9-inch LG G Pro 2 phablet, which competes head-to-head with Samsungโs Galaxy Note 3 and Microsoftโs Lumia 1520.
