How a baby products business has integrated its online store with its warehouse: My Best Tech

Monique Filer is the cofounder of b.box, an award winning baby products line that is distributed globally.

Our main system is MYOB, and thatโ€™s the core of our systems, but as our business has grown, weโ€™ve put add-ons on that have helped us to grow. So, for example, we looked for a more capable warehouse and distribution system. Rather than replace the systems we had, we used an add-on, called Datapel WMS Warehouse Management System.

What that allows us to do is have multiple locations, where every bin in the warehouse has a location. So when Iโ€™m looking for stock or a particular item, it will tell you where to find it in the warehouse. Itโ€™s also very capable when it comes to reporting abilities, and a lot of that is data MYOB.

The other add-on we use is Shopify for our website, and that feeds into our other systems.

So we use Shopify for our B2C sales, and those orders flow through WMS [for fulfilment], and then MYOB for [profit and loss].
