Apple is poised to announce several new products and upgrades just three months after its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.
Apple chief executive Tim Cook will take the stage in the early hours of tomorrow morning, Australia-time, in order to unveil the tech giant’s latest iPhones.
Cook is also expected to announce changes to much-loved Apple products such as the iPad, as well as minor tweaks to much newer devices.
The tech giant’s developer conference back in June was full of major announcements, including the rollout of Apple’s streaming service in a bid to challenge the likes of Spotify.
But what will tomorrow’s conference include any major surprises?
The event is certainly set to be one of Apple’s biggest as it will be located at the Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco – a building that can seat up to 7000 people.
Here’s four things you can expect from tomorrow’s Apple event:
The new iPhones will have more powerful cameras
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus tomorrow.
New iPhones are often unveiled in September and are the most important product when it comes to Apple’s bottom line.
The company unveiled a quarterly net profit of $US10.7 billion back in July, with new smartphones expected to boost revenue.
The ninth-generation iPhones are expected to be the same size as the iPhone 6, meaning Apple has settled on larger smartphone sizes – for now.
Selfie lovers will be jumping for joy following rumours the new iPhone will have a flash for its rear camera.
The new iPhone is also expected to have a 12-megapixel camera in comparison to an 8-megapixel camera on the iPhone 6.
Portable devices are getting bigger and the iPad is no exception
Apple is rumoured to be unveiling the latest iPad tomorrow in order to drum up interest before it hits the shelves in November.
Newer iPads are set to follow in the steps of the iPhone and come in larger sizes, according to 9to5mac.
Some within Apple are whispering that the tablet will be the same size as a MacBook – which is good news for all you news and email junkies out there.
The Apple TV will be getting a makeover
It is highly likely Apple will unveil a massive upgrade to its set-top box, according to Wired.
It has been three years since Apple TV has received a massive upgrade, and a lot has changed in the way people consume television shows in that time.
The new Apple TV is said to be much faster than its older cousin, with its software much more heavily integrated with Apple’s App Store and virtual personal assistant Siri.
You can also expect the Apple TV to tap into the gaming space a lot more thanks to the incorporation of the App Store.
This means you will be able to play your favourite iPhone and iPad games on your TV.
A few tweaks to newer devices
Apple is also expected to unveil new colour options for its Sports Watch product line, however it is too soon for major upgrade of the Apple Watch.
After all, Apple’s smartwatch only became available in April.
The conference will also likely see a release date for the new Mac operating system set in stone.
SmartCompany will bring you all the details first thing tomorrow morning.
