Facebook has released a new service called Photo Sync as part of a recent update to its mobile apps for iOS and Android.
According to Facebook’s press release, Photo Sync will automatically upload all of the photos in the gallery of a users’ smartphone or tablet into a private album on Facebook.
From the private album, users are easily able to choose which photos they want to share with friends.
However, the new service might pose risks for SMEs, with the possibility of commercially sensitive pictures being automatically uploaded from a users’ phone onto Facebook.
There could potentially be intellectual property implications for employees using the service, with Facebook claiming ownership rights to photos uploaded to its galleries.
