When Apple launched the iPhone 5, it announced that it was replacing the original iPhone 30-pin dock connector with a new “lightning” connector.
During the launch, the company promised that it planned to ship a 30-pin to lightning adaptor in the near future, allowing consumers to use the iPhone 5 with older docks and accessories designed for the old 30-pin connector.
According to MacRumors, Apple is now shipping the adaptors to the first wave of consumers who ordered them, including to consumers in Australia.
The adaptor is available for $US29, along with a $US39 version of the adaptor which includes a short cable.
