Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Lumia 920, has sold out in Germany less than a week after Telstra announced it has sold out of its pre-order stock.
According to SlashGear, Nokia has announced on its German website that many German retailers have sold out on their initial stock of the new device, marking the first time the Finnish phone giant has had a sell-out of a new smartphone in Germany.
Late last week, SmartCompany reported Telstra has announced it has sold out of its pre-order stock, with strong overseas demand making it difficult to obtain extra units.
The sell-outs suggest that Nokia could be making a comeback in the smartphone market, with the Finnish phone giant underestimating demand in more than one market.
