Domain registrar and web hosting company DreamHost has reset its customers’ passwords following a possible security breach over the weekend.
According to an email published by ZDNet, the security breach potentially involved the unauthorised access of customers’ FTP passwords.
DreamHost have responded to the breach by resetting its customers’ passwords, and is advising them to log in to their web panel to change their FTP passwords as soon as possible.
While the company doesn’t believe that email accounts were impacted by the breach, the company is also advising customers to change their email passwords as an extra precaution.
