Chief marketing officer Peter Vesterbacka has told Bloomberg that the studio is ready to go public โmaybe a year from nowโ.
The company has exploded over the past two years, with the Angry Birds franchise reaching into apparel, soft toys, television shows and films. Vesterbacka says he is happy with the current valuation of $1 billion, but adds โwe think itโs probably a bit north of thatโ.
โWeโre insanely profitable,โ he said. โWe are very, very profitable. Weโre not a publicly traded company yet but we can fund our own growth.โ
