Mobile manufacturing giant Nokia has said it plans to win back the North American market in one of the “greatest turnaround stories in history”.
The company recently scored a deal with Microsoft which will see Nokia phones installed with Windows Phone 7 software. Chris Weber, Nokia’s head of the North American sales group, recently told Business Insider the company has a point-plan to regain market share.
The plan includes working closely with carriers, releasing a number of different models, advertising changes in hardware and software and ensuring a close relationship with Microsoft.
Weber told Business Insider that while the company has hard work to do, he believes the company can win by focusing on a combination of hardware, software and good carrier support, not just about the best gadget.
