American electronics retail chain Best Buy has launched a new cloud music service, just weeks after Apple announced a similar venture of its own.

The announcement also comes after Amazon and Google have launched their own music locker services, which allow users to listen to music wherever they are without storing them on local devices.

Best Buy โ€œMusic Cloudโ€ has been launched to work on both Macs and PCs, along with iOS, Android and BlackBerry devices.

The basic package is free, but users will need to pay a fee to ensure they can play their tunes over their various devices.
