Nokia, Windows phones to feature new processors

Nokia, which recently joined with Microsoft to provide Windows software on all of its handsets, will feature faster processors in its upcoming gadgets.

According to Forbes, STMicroelectronics chief executive Carlo Bozotti has said that his company has “very close relations” with the handset company and it will be “an import supplier” for Windows gadgets.

According to Boy Genius Report, some of Nokia’s upcoming gadgets will feature ARM processors.

Nokia is expected to launch a Windows-based smartphone next year – expected to be the first of many. Chief executive Stephen Elop has also said he would like to see one released before the end of the year.
