Microsoft Bing has released their next assault on Google with their 3D Bing Maps, which is set to rival Google Maps.
Bing uses its own 3D imaging instead of video imaging like Google’s Street View to provide easy to access satellite street maps and images.
Bing offers clear satellite images and more up-to-date satellite images than Google and a search on Bing Maps takes about as long as a Google Maps search.
The mapping data is supplied by Digital Globe, Harris, MapData Sciences, Navteq, GeoEye, Pictometry and Earthstar Graphics.
However, Microsoft users may find it frustrating because Google Chrome is not supported and they will require the latest browsers from Internet Explorer and Firefox to see the 3D maps.
