Many iPhone users are frustrated by how little space is available on their gadget’s internal storage system, even after last year’s upgrade to a respectable 32GB.
But with AirVideo, users don’t need to worry about storage space any longer. This clever app allows you to stream video and music files from your Mac or PC without having them stored on your iPhone at all.
The app works by downloading software from the app’s own website. Once installed, users click which folders they’d like to have included in their own personal “server”. Any folder can be included, while the software also allows easy access to iTunes playlists such as Movies, TV shows and Music.
Users then simply log on through the app on their phone, and then pick which file they’d like to view. And while the app requires video files to be iPhone-compatible, this isn’t a problem โ it can convert while you watch.
While the app requires a home wireless network to operate, and costs $3.99, the effort and cost is well worth the benefit of accessing your media files from anywhere in your home. An extra benefit โ the app also works on the iPad.
