There are dozens of apps on the App Store designed to turn the iPhone into a portable hard drive or file-sharing system, but DropBox has received the most attention by far.

The app integrates with an account created on the official Dropbox website, so it’s not meant to be seen as a standalone program.

But once an account is set up, users can transfer files from their desktop computer to their dropbox account, which then allows files to be moved to the iPhone automatically.
Additionally, the app also allows users to take photos with the iPhone’s camera and save them to the dropbox, which then appears on the user’s desktop computer.

The app allows users to view files, listen to audio and watch videos from within the application itself. Users can also take advantage of auto-sync features that update the iPhone whenever a new file is put into a user’s dropbox.

The app includes features such as one-click sharing via email and a photo gallery, and best of all โ€“ it’s free.
