New figures show Google’s Chrome browser has been growing in popularity and may even have taken over Apple’s Safari to become the third most popular web browser.
A new report from Net Applications shows Google’s Chrome has moved slightly ahead of Safari in market share at 4.40% compared to 4.37%.
Those numbers are still well behind Internet Explorer which sits just under 64%, with Firefox at about 24.72.
Google has been throwing its weight behind Chrome, with the company even releasing “extensions” for the browser in the last few weeks allowing users to customise their browsing experience.
