Australian technology start-up PCRange is attempting to crack the US market by launching its range of iPad accessories into the country.
PCRange’s PADACS brand will be available from a Michigan-based distribution centre from September 17 after what the business called a “huge level” of demand in North America via its website.
The company hopes to take advantage of spiralling iPad sales since Apple launched the product in April.
Adelaide entrepreneur Raaj Menon is the CEO of PCRange, which employs 26 people. Menon also started Billion, a broadband router brand, Printomatic, an on-demand digital printing service, and Withings Wi-Fi Body Scale, which allows people to record their weight via wireless internet.
Menon is in the process of starting a new home products brand, called EzyLifestyle, which will offer products to help in the kitchen.
Menon says: “While it’s early days yet, we’ve made a great start in Australia. Extending our PADACS operations to the US, with direct delivery of stock to our Michigan-based fulfilment service and a free-freight offer for US customers, will take it to a whole new level.”
“Despite the volatility of the Australian dollar during the past two years, we’ve achieved record sales and we’re on track to top that record again this year.”
