To advance advertisers’ continual quest to be in front of consumers wherever they are, an airport in the US is offering advertising billboards above its toilet sinks.
The high definition screens, measuring one metre in height, display both short films and still images on the mirrors throughout O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
As a person walks toward the mirror, the ads gradually decrease in size until they only take up a corner of the glass.
According to the designers, the effect is to allow the public to see themselves in the mirror while also being able to watch the commercial.
The mirrors also include a sensor that measures the number of consumers who engage with each mirror.
Advertising in toilets isn’t new, but is there a tech-enabled twist that an Australian start-up can take to reap the rewards here?
