Ever dreamt of the day when a wealthy entrepreneur will walk into your office with a big fat cheque and a great desire to put your expansion plans into reality.
Not surprisingly, here at Taskmaster Enterprises this thing happens every day. Wealthy business people often approach me, begging me to take their capital and use it to fuel my business.
Why does this happen? Because I am a fully accredited angel investor hunter.
Angel investors are generally wealthy entrepreneurs who have built businesses before and are looking to give something back by supporting a start-up or small business.
They pump money into your firm, take a stake and then – if you are lucky – help you grow your business by opening doors, introducing key contacts and spruiking your products.
It doesn’t always turn out this way – they can also become a major pain if they start interfering too much – but let’s not worry about that too much right now.
So where can they be found? You’ll often read about them in the media, but more likely than not you’ll meet them at networking events, pitch nights and other similar events. Angels usually stick to their own industries, so industry events are also fertile hunting ground.
Even if you don’t really need an angel investment, it’s a great idea to figure out who the prominent angels are in your sector. Don’t approach them for money straight away – talk to them about your business, get some tips and hints from them, and generally build up a relationship.
Because we all want an angel on our side.
Get it done – today!
