Most people use Internet Explorer for their browsing needs but Mozilla Firefox is becoming more popular with every new release, and has some great features to help you explore the internet easier.
Firefox is filled with plenty of features to maximise your browsing experience, but here are a few to get you started:
- Did you know you can give yourself more screen space? Go to View, then Toolbars, and Customise, and then check the “Use Small Icons” box.
- Smart keywords are a solid feature that unfortunately, few users know about. If you’re using a particular search term in the search bar quite a lot, right-click on the search box and select “add a keyword for this search”. Give the keyword a name, and a shortcut. Whenever you want to search that term again, go to the address bar and type the shortcut, and you’ll have an instant search.
- Mouse shortcuts also help out several Firefox users. A number of them include: middle-click on a link to open in new tab, shift+scroll down to reach the previous page, shift+scroll up to search the next page, ctrl+scroll up to decrease text size, and middle click on a tab to close tabs.
