Networking services and hardware manufacturer Cisco has announced an across the board price rise of 9.2% for its Australian customers.
According to Delimiter, Australian SMEs that rely on Cisco for networking equipment or services have been told that the price increases will be effective as of July 9, giving businesses less than one month to adjust to the increase.
The company has also told prospective customers that any quotes for equipment or services will only be valid until July 6.
The news comes despite Cisco already imposing higher prices for Australian SMEs than their US-based competitors, and the fact that Cisco’s Australian division recorded profits of $7.3 million for the year ended July 30, 2011, off local revenues of $1.24 billion.
