How Tank Stream Labs started
Since 2012, Tank Stream Labs has devised as a dynamic community where startups and scale-ups connect to collaborate, innovate and thrive. It provides more than a physical coworking space – its mission is nurturing and supporting an ecosystem for Australian entrepreneurs by way of meaningful connections, tailored resources and invaluable mentorship. It does so through providing access to cutting-edge technologies in its AI hub to offering specialised support through its legal, finance and marketing services.
Growth
When the COVID-19 pandemic led to lockdowns and restrictions, TSL realised it had to adapt quickly to ensure continuity and support for its members. An immediate pivot to virtual events and enhanced digital support systems was the first step, and one that allowed continued engagement and continuity despite physical distancing. There was also an expansion of TSL’s online resources and business services to meet the needs of members facing significant operation and financial challenges. TSL’s pandemic response reinforced to the organisation the importance of proactive planning, diversification of revenue streams, and investment in digital infrastructure to future-proof operations.
Where to next
Growth and expansion is on the agenda for TSL, with the business aiming to replicate its successful model in other major cities across the country, providing entrepreneurs with access to premium workspaces, tailored support programs, and valuable networking opportunities. This expansion will enable TSL to reach a broader audience of startups and scale-ups, driving innovation and economic growth in new markets. In addition to this, TSL looks to forge partnerships with key stakeholders in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including government agencies, industry associations, and corporate partners.
