How Bridgit started

Bridgit CEO and co-founder Aaron Bassin grew up wanting to experience the ‘Australian dream’ of owning his own home. However, he quickly encountered the challenges of accessing property finance, with complicated manual processes placing obstacles in the way. Bassin saw an opportunity to disrupt the traditional lending model, offering a revolutionary digital bridging loan solution that allows Australians to tap into their property equity. This allows them to enjoy the benefits of buying their next home before selling their existing property. Quite simply: buy now, sell later.

Growth

Bridgit continues to see year-on-year revenue growth, has financed over $1 billion in property transactions and has seen a 375% increase in application volume compared to the previous financial year. Despite the challenging market, the business thrived and customer demand continued to rise. Within six months, it achieved record growth quarter on quarter, expanded its headcount, doubled revenue, and increased its trust rating to 4.8.

Where to next

Bridgit is set on achieving its goal of becoming the preeminent preferred bridging lender. Its immediate focus is on growing brand awareness, ensuring correct distribution coverage in place across the country and investing in technology to reduce the need for headcount growth as the business scales. It also plans on continuing to provide excellent, real-time solutions to clients.
