Mobile phone giant Nokia has released a promotional video for its forthcoming low-cost Lumia 620 smartphone.

As SmartCompany reported yesterday, the low-cost Windows Phone 8 smartphone, expected to launch in Australia early next year and featuring the re-introduction of Nokia’s snap-on covers, will be predominantly marketed towards a younger demographic.

The news comes on the back of sales figures that showed that smartphones based on the company’s older, lower-cost Symbian platform were outselling its more expensive Windows Phone-based Lumias.

So can the Lumia 620 turn the tide and win low-cost consumers over to the Windows Phone platform? That’s Nokia’s hope with the following promotional video:
