The founders had to wait five years from when they first started Bronze Snake to make a wage payment.
“Never give up,” they say of the fast fashion business’ slow start.
“You must give 110%, and be willing to not get paid for a few years.”
The pair’s patience and hard work has paid off with Bronze Snake now turning over $3.9 million a year and employing a staff of 17.
The two started Bronze Snake after realising they wanted a product nobody else was offering: “Fast fashion at the best price.”
The pair have cut the middle man out and produce all clothing themselves now.
“Our customers want something new weekly, and we provide that too them and ship it to them for free and by the next day,” they say.
Since they started Bronze Snake in 2008, the retail industry has continued to change rapidly.
“Customers want to buy online and want it yesterday.”
“There is still the mentality of trying items on and wanting to return items in-store, so we feel we still have this covered compared to our online-only based competitors.”
The two plan to expand their bricks-and-mortar Bronze Snake store to Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
They are also launching a new website and mobile app within the next month.
There’s no plan for an exit at this stage as they say “we are just enjoying the ride too much”.
“Plus it’s our little baby”.
