Nicholas Hill and Andrew Walker have grown their million-dollar accounting business from a team of two to 18 staff members in four years of operation.

The Brisbane business was created to provide accounting services for businesses that want to grow, particularly those in the Queensland startup community.

The pair quickly discovered that “running a business puts challenges and roadblocks in front of you daily,” but Hill and Walker say the more the business can grow through these challenges, the more context they have for better assisting clients with services they need.

In the next few years the founders are looking to bring on board a number of new partners, hoping to increase the annual turnover of the business from its current level of $1.6 million to $5 million.

With their sights set on growth goals themselves, the founders say they’ve been working on interacting with the Brisbane community as much as possible, seeking to add more to their accounting services.

This engagement extends to an exhibition space in the foyer of the company’s offices, allowing local artists to display work which the business then shares on its social media channels.
