The internet is alive with rumours that Apple will soon release an updated version of the App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch devices that will sell “premium” applications.
ย
So far the App Store has been used to sell applications at around the $2 to $10 level, but a premium store would sell programs that cost upwards of $20.
ย
But some developers have critcised the store, saying apps take too long to be approved by Apple, while some decisions to exclude certain apps appear to be random.
ย
But new rumours from Wired suggest the new premium section will not only include high-priced apps, but also business software.
