Rutledge Engineering may have started in the audio-visual field in a modest way almost 25 years ago, but has quickly broadened its scope and today includes huge corporate clients as well as events. Rutledge is now a leading provider of professional audio-visual equipment and integration services.
Founder Michael Rutledge (pictured, with wife Sandy) maintains that staying at the forefront of technology has been key to his success. At the head of the pack, he says, “there’s less competition, and more profit”.
Cutting edge technology, and providing the high-tech toys and essential tools for business, give Rutledge the wizardry to hold sway over its market. The firm employs 150 staff across five states.
Interestingly, the company has found that labour has become its largest cost, due to the specific expertise required to work on the technology the business deals with.
