Tech giant Apple has removed a program from its app store that is designed to steal phone holders’ passcodes.
According to a new report in Boy Genius Report, the new app that is designed to get users to set a passcode for the app identical to the one they use for their phones was put up for review.
The app is reportedly designed to then send the PIN numbers to the developer, who wanted to publish reports showing off the most common passcodes.
Developer Daniel Amity has written on his blog that the app, Big Brother, “has been removed from the App Store”.
”I’m certainly not happy about it, but considering the concerns a few people have expressed regarding the transfer of data from app to my server, it is understandable,” he wrote.
