With the iPad 2 having launched in the United States and hundreds of early customers already enjoying their new devices, it’s a good time to review some of those hidden features that not everyone may be aware of.
- Many people don’t like typing on the iPad keyboard, but it’s more useful than it looks – if you swipe up on the comma key it will use an apostrophe, and if you swipe the full stop key, you’ll get a quotation mark.
- Auto-correction can be a little iffy at times but you’ll want to leave it on for as long as possible, so the device learns what words you’ll be typing the most.
- If you accidentally close an app by pressing a home button, quickly press it again and don’t let go. If you keep pressing down, the app will still stay up.
You may find that when using the Safari browser, your pages will refresh an unusually high amount of times. To stop this, open up your tray of apps using the multitasking feature, and then get rid of them by pressing down on one of them. Delete them from the tray, and your pages should load much faster.
