Windows has released the first service pack for Windows 7.
It’s full of improvements to the company’s newest OS and is well worth downloading if you want everything to be up-to-date.
To download the pack you need to go to the Microsoft Download Centre or you can do so via the Windows Update tool in the OS itself.
First you need to go to the Windows Update tool, which can be found in the Control Panel.
The screen should say “Install updates for your computer” and there should be a link saying updates are available – click on it.
You’ll see a list of updates and the Windows 7 Service Pack will be one of them – tick it.
Press OK and it will start downloading, which could take a while depending on your internet connection.
Some of the improvements in the service pack include better support for HDMI audio and external storage devices.
