It’s quick, it’s easy and it leaves a record of communications, which is handy.

 

But the high use of email also means an old trick can be very effective – the handwritten note.

 

If someone in your team has done a particularly good job, or is celebrating a personal milestone such as a birthday or anniversary, then take a few minutes to write out a personal note acknowledging the event.
