Cliff Sanderson’s call for a review of insolvencies processes and a move towards the UK system is like the “voice of one crying in the wilderness” but will inevitably attract the ire of those who stand to lose power and profits from such changes.
Whoever has the courage to champion this cause will encounter enormous opposition from the banks and insolvency firms, both of whom bear great weight on government policy.
It may be a “quixotic” quest, but if a champion doesn’t take up the challenge then thousands more businesses will exit that might otherwise be turned around.
