Google will add magazines to its online archives project, which is attempting to create a digital scan of every book every published.

The search engine giant revealed on its company blog it has started scanning pages from publishers such as New York Magazine, Popular Science and Men’s Health. The scans are being made in full colour and will be available on Google Book Search.

While only a few titles are available right now, Google says it plans to expand that number soon. Users can read entire magazines put on the site.

“Eventually, we’ll also begin blending magazine results into our main Google.com search results,” the company says.
