Apple has released the latest version of its iTunes software for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows, including a completely redesigned user interface.

According to Apple, the redesigned interface includes new library views, allowing users to easily view the type of content their after (for example, just music or videos), as well as an improved interface for the iTunes store.

Aside from the simplified user interface, the company has also updated its Remote app, making it simpler to control iTunes 11 or an Apple TV device from an iOS device such as the iPhone 5 or iPad.

The update also includes improvements to the Mini Player and tighter iCloud integration, allowing users to pause a movie or song on one device and start playing from the same point on another.
