Internode founder Simon Hackett has announced that he is stepping aside from his executive duties, and will instead take a seat on parent company iiNet’s board of directors.
According to the announcement, other key Internode staff are being moved into roles within the iiNet group, including the companyโs chief technology officer, John Lindsay, and its general manager of business and government, Daryl Knight.
The company cites the faster than expected integration of Internode and iiNet network systems and services integration between the two internet service providers as a factor in the reorganisation.
The news comes after iiNet completed its takeover of Internode for $105 million in February, with iiNet claiming at the time that Internode would continue to operate as a separate entity.
