Google has appointed a new CEO to Motorola Mobility after completing its takeover of the smartphone maker.
In a press release announcing the completion of the takeover, Google CEO Larry Page announced that Sanjay Jha has stepped down as the CEO of Motorola Mobility. He will be replaced by Google employee Dennis Woodside.
Jha originally took the post of Motorola Mobility CEO in August 2008 and oversaw the companyโs demerger from network equipment manufacturer Motorola Solutions, as well as its switch to Googleโs Android smartphone and tablet device platform.
Googleโs takeover closed after Chinese regulators finally approved the takeover earlier this week.
