British telco O2 has found that 88% of its staff were just as productive working from home as from the office, with one-third reporting they were more productive working from home than from the office.

According to ComputerWorld UK, 3,000 staff at the companyโ€™s headquarters in Slough participated in a one-day trial programme of a work at home programme.

The trial was designed as a large scale test of the companyโ€™s Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and enterprise collaboration software ahead of the London Olympics.

The trial follows in the footsteps of Australian telco iiNet,ย which currently has around 15-20% of its Australian staff working from home.
