iPad manufacturer Foxconn will reportedly ship 20 million units of the iPad to Apple in the third quarter, according to a new report from DigiTimes.

That figures represents 60% growth, the company also reporting net profits of $US945 million for the first half of the year.

The report suggests that orders for iPad 2 will be a โ€œmajor growth driverโ€ in the second half of the year.

There have been rumours that Foxconn has been unable to cope with targets for the second half, forcing Apple to find some alternative suppliers.
