Google extends free Gmail calling through 2011

Internet giant Google has said it will extend the free calling feature in Gmail for US users for another year.

“In the spirit of holiday giving and to help people keep in touch in the New Year,” the company said it will extend the feature.

Free calling can be applied to all calls made within Gmail, but is separate from Google’s other voice program, Google Voice.

Unfortunately, the feature will not be available for Gmail users in Australia.
