JB Hi-Fi is leading the pack when it comes to the most visited Australian shopping websites, according to figures recently published by coupon site Cuponation.
According to Inside Retail, the Cuponation analysis found the electronics and home goods retailers attracted approximately 74 million local visits between January and June this year.
Next in line is big box homewares retailer Bunnings, which attracted 68.82 million local visits to its website in the same six-month period, according to Cuponation. This is despite Bunnings online recently dipping its toes into the online retail waters by way of a ‘special orders’ service. The company said in June, however, that ‘click and collect’ options are in the works.
Woolworths took out third place in the rankings, with 53.65 million site visits, and was followed by Kogan, with 42.82 million visits, and Kmart, with 42.81 million.
Coles, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Big W and Target rounded out the top 10.
It was a different story when international retailers were added to the mix, although JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings, Woolworths, Kogan, Kmart and Coles still made the cut.
EBay’s Australian site topped the top 10 list of most visited local and international shopping sites in the six-month period, with 404.67 million site visits, followed by Amazon.com with 111.82 million visits. EBay’s international site was in third place, with 80.46 million visits, while Amazon’s relatively recently launched Australian site came in seventh place, with 52.44 million site visits.
