Change the desktop on OS X

While Apple has made a good name for OS X being easy to use, sometimes configuring the desktop picture isn’t exactly straightforward.   To change the desktop, head to System Preferences, then choose Desktop and Screen Saver. There, you can add a picture from your hard drive and set it to your desktop.
