Here is a copy of my first auto-response email ever. For a copy, send an email to jono@launchtwo.com.au:

While I am obsessed with working hard and making things happen for our business, our staff, our clients and friends, I will be away overseas in Hong Kong and China on business from Friday, October 26 until Monday, November 5. So tell me your size and you might get a surprise upon my return.

If it’s urgent, please email my guru PA who is really smart and can solve problems. kate@launchtwo.com.au.

If it’s super urgent and you need only me for some reason, then email me with subject line ‘you are really important’ and I’ll see what I can do.

This is the first auto-responder I’ve ever used in my business history, as I typically don’t believe in auto-responders.

People who claim they don’t check emails are lying. They check. They simply aren’t committed enough to work overtime. So how much do they really love what they do?

I hate when people go MIA for long periods of time. It’s annoying.

I’m pretty sure there’s internet access in other countries, so being offline is really no excuse. We are all connected. Time differences are even cooler as you can access multiple time zones of activity, so there’s a big incentive to achieve more while you’re abroad.

I think that’s it. Here we go with my first auto-responder. Wish me luck. I’m feeling very nervous.

More nervous than going out to face a really fast opening bowler with a new ball (for those cricket nuts). If you read all this and thought it was cool – please re-tweet it for me, or share it on Facebook somewhere. Help me out.

P.S. And my business partner and I (in Sportsgrab) are sharing a room for a few nights – that’s commitment to investor money. No 800 square foot rooms like Vegas. No upgrades either – knee surgery and all seven days ago. Yes, darling wife, I will look after it and promise not to exercise and I will look after it. Until my next auto-response, be well!
