Political parties should stop charging business for access to ministers: Kohler

This ‘semi-corrupt activity’ slides into abuse when those without the funds to access ministers consistently get rolled by those represented by lobbyists. It would be a laughable situation except that typically we are not discussing anything relative to public benefit entering the discussion.

These reports in the media of politicians being ‘influenced’ have not typically mentioned the word ‘corrupt’. And I don’t know why we wouldn’t suggest that such activity at least increases the potential for corruption. After all, this is business in politics.
