Lovestruck men and women are starting to pop the big question: ‘Do you know any good marriage proposal planners?’
Before couples hire a wedding planner, some people are enlisting help for their proposals to create lavish scenarios featuring white doves, helicopter rides or a favourite musician.
Planners can charge thousands of dollars to plot proposals as meticulously as the wedding day itself.
Proposal planner Sarah Pease only focused on weddings until she realised her services were needed elsewhere after a friend proposed to their partner by hiding an engagement ring at the bottom of a KFC bucket.
“I figured there must be a better way,” she says.
Pease heads up New York-based business Brilliant Event Planning, conjuring up proposal ideas including a “glittering New York City evening” and “the romance of a morning in Paris”.
Her fee is $500 for coming up with a proposal idea, but can run up to $12,000 if users want her to orchestrate the entire process. Is there a demand for similar services in Australia?
