Check storage usage by apps in iOS 5

One of the less talked about new features in the iOS 5 software update is the ability to check how much storage space each of your apps is using.

To do so, open the Settings app in either your iPhone or iPad. Then, hit the general tab, and then the “usage” tab after that.

There, you’ll see a list of all your apps and the associated storage space. You might be surprised by how big some apps can be.

Along with individual apps, you’ll also be able to see how much storage your iCloud account is using.
